I came to Wetlands Art Day with my colored pencils. I found small out cove, with concrete benches and dappled shade. There was gap throughout cattails wide enough for a boat to get to the middle ponds. The Grackles were in fine voice, and had the Verdin as backup singers. I took an art day at Jumbo Rocks Campground, Joshua Tree National Park. This drawing of Cycat Green with Two Heads and Red Ball of String was the last colored pencil drawing of the day. The day was overcast all day and in the 60s. I like doing my art days outside. There were several Phainopepla sing the bushes near by.
I’ve been making Plein Air Landscapes with oil, watercolor, charcoal, pencil, pen and ink. I now enjoy the landscape of Jashua Tree National Park and draw what I want.
