Celebrating Life 2022 excepted Moon Rise. The show will be at Charleston Heights Arts Center on Bush street Las Vegas NV going from May 27 to Wednesday June 23. Moon Rise was done last October using a watercolor palette of purple. I made the frame in my shop and cut a black double matt.
Landscape 5/22 is from several photo from trips to Canyon lands UT. My next trip to southern UT will be the first of June. With a base camp near Natural Bridges UT.
I will be painting what my muse wants and not for the next show. I like the lines in this landscape.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’m in good health I took a break because my creative muse stopped. My muse was letting me know I was not fine. I removed Facebook and Twitter from my phone and pulled my work from from Las Vegas Artist Guild and City of World gallery’s. I covered the a large painting in my studio. Stopping “social media” I was no longer being pushed to be mad at something out of my control. Pulling my paintings let the pressure off my muse. It took months of to get back to where I was able to uncover my painting from March and put it away for later and put a new paper on a board.
So here is things moving forward. I will be feeding my muse with trips to beautiful places every month. I no longer look at social media. I will be posting my paintings on Facebook, Tumbler, and Instagram because it’s where people are.

Look for my watercolors in the Arts Factory in Las Vegas NV. Art to Go machine sits right in front of the Squishy Gallery and both are own by Nicole Cochener
We where out this morning and stopped in the Arts Factory. The Art to Go vending machine is right in front of Squishy gallery. The vending machine gives you a lot of choices of great art. I would recommend the blank cards with original watercolor paintings. My cards are priced at 15.00. All the art in the Gallery to Go machine is reasonably priced. #johngreggstudios
“ Purple Impressions 10 / 21 “ watercolor painting 29” x 10” by John Gregg. When a painting is still taped down the name is simple. Purple landscape with a night sky and a reflection of the moon.
Original 5” x 7” watercolor paintings with blank cards and envelopes by John Gregg
I’ve been excepted into Gallery to Go art vending machines run by Nicole Cochener. I’ve made 15 original 5” x 7” watercolor with blank cards and envelopes. I will be dropping off the cards this week at her gallery Squishy Studio at the Arts Factory. The themes for the watercolor paintings are Fall in the Canyon, Red Sail, Purple reflection, Grass is always greener and Cold winter’s night. I don’t like painting on cards so each watercolor painting is painted on good quality paper. There’s four paintings per paper, the paper is cut to 5” x 7” and mounted on a blank card.
