I came to Wetlands Art Day with my colored pencils. I found small out cove, with concrete benches and dappled shade. There was gap throughout cattails wide enough for a boat to get to the middle ponds. The Grackles were in fine voice, and had the Verdin as backup singers. With a lot of Plien Air Drawings “The Artist Gets to Choose”, between a colorful tiny town or concrete benches.

I needed a break so I took the trailer up to McWilliams Campground on Mount Charleston and with my muse Gracie. I pulled out the colored pencils and created Cydog Yellow with Red Tongue. It’s part of my “Eye Full of Wonder” series. The Fall Colors were every where in campground. It was weekday in October the campground was empty and there’s no service.
