1/23 watercolor by John Gregg. Without Sioxsie the kitten paw prints. I had use the stippling brush to remove the prints.
Siouxsie snuck in to the studio. She tried to sneak on to the table to find out where the sound of the brush on paper is coming from. The top right thru the brushes was not expected. There is a reason for no kittens on the table.
“Landscape 1/23” watercolor by John Gregg. It’s been awhile since I moved my watercolors aside and started with copper patina. My Copper Bookmarks with patina are still going great. I’m producing some wonderful colors. I will be going watercolors with no intention of faming the work. Painting for me.
My idea about how to show off what I can do with copper patina will be on diplayed at Las Vegas Artist Gallery next week. Copper is quite soft metal to work with and the patina can be from a deep purple, bark blue to a turquois. The piece that goes in to the book is made from hammer copper, this helps harden it so it’s harder to bend. The feather has been pressed and hammered in to shape but still can be bent. My artist side of me likes a feather to act like a feather, light and delicite. So please treat the feather as a feather made out copper by a artist. The entire piece has been laquered to seal the color.
Thank you Terry Pratchett I used a portion of your book Wee Free Men.
You can find my copper bookmarks at Las Vegas Artist Guild Gallery in the Galleria mall in Las Vegas NV. They will be there this Christmas
Copper Bookmark Feather with Patina The bookmarks is about 4″. I made part that goes in the book by hammering copper and will stand up being in books. The feather is from thinner copper. If you are where the feather can crushed put the whole bookmark inside the book. A laquer finnsh has been aplyed to the bookmark to seal the copper patina.
Copper Bookmark Feather with Patina. I’ve changed the patina to get some light Tuquoise with deep blue. These Bookmarks give me a small canvas to play with.
To the beach is the second watercolor painting in this series

Landscape 6/22 Watercolor painting 22” x 7” I set the color wheel to blue. The color palette was blue and yellow.

“Moon Rise” was excepted in to Celebrating Life 2022. I plan on attending the reception this alert noon.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’m in good health I took a break because my creative muse stopped. My muse was letting me know I was not fine. I removed Facebook and Twitter from my phone and pulled my work from from Las Vegas Artist Guild and City of World gallery’s. I covered the a large painting in my studio. Stopping “social media” I was no longer being pushed to be mad at something out of my control. Pulling my paintings let the pressure off my muse. It took months of to get back to where I was able to uncover my painting from March and put it away for later and put a new paper on a board.
So here is things moving forward. I will be feeding my muse with trips to beautiful places every month. I no longer look at social media. I will be posting my paintings on Facebook, Tumbler, and Instagram because it’s where people are.
If you want me to respond to you come over to http://www.JohnGregg.com. Go to my WordPress blog. All my work from the years is here.
